We had a very quiet but enjoyable Christmas just the two of us (and three kitties, who were very helpful on saving us from the discarded wrapping paper that was obviously going to destroy us if they hadn't destroyed it first).

Took us a while to work a good placement for the camera and work on timing it just right.  These are the best attempts.

And we were fortunate enough to find a place that made decent tamales.  One thing that is definitely lacking here is good Tex-Mex food.  Apparently people here melt if they taste even a hint of spice, and everyone is always warning us "watch out that's spicy".......which is never true.  

It's not spicy unless you're eyes are watering and snot's running down your face.
